    pretty darn good. i liked it almost as much as hard-boiled wonderland and kafka on the shore - but not quite. to murakami's credit, it's rare i finish a book this long.

    fantastic. reminds me of wuthering heights crossed with a t.s. eliot poem like the waste land or the hollow men. once i hit the half-way point, i couldn't put it down.
